This policy explains how Soloweb Technologies ("Soloweb", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through solowebtechnologies.in (the "Site"). It does not cover the client applications we build under a separate contract — those are governed by the agreement for that project.
1. Who we are
Soloweb Technologies is a software studio based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this Site.
Questions, requests or complaints: contact@solowebtechnologies.in · +91 94336 71971.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details — first and last name, work email address, company or organisation.
- Project details — the service you are interested in, an optional budget range, and the description you write.
- Anything you send us by email, phone or messaging when you get in touch.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs when the Site is served — such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time of request. These logs are used for security, diagnostics and keeping the Site available. We do not run advertising trackers, analytics scripts, session recording or third-party pixels on this Site.
3. How we use your information
- Respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal.
- Deliver and support the services you engage us for.
- Keep records for invoicing, tax and legal compliance.
- Protect the Site, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not add you to a marketing list without asking first.
4. Lawful basis
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 we process personal data on the basis of your consent when you submit the contact form or email us, and for legitimate uses such as responding to a request you initiated, performing a contract, and meeting legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time (see section 9); withdrawing does not affect processing already carried out.
5. Who we share it with
We keep access limited. Information may be processed by:
- Hosting: Netlify, which serves this website and keeps standard server logs.
- Form delivery: Formspree, when the contact form is configured to send through it; otherwise your own email client sends the message directly to us.
- Email and communications providers used to receive and reply to your messages.
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Some providers operate outside India. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on your consent and take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an appropriate level of protection.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
This Site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons from the cdnjs (Cloudflare) CDN; those providers may receive your IP address and browser information when the files are served, as described in their own privacy policies. We do not use these services to identify or profile visitors. If we add analytics or cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent first.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation later. Project and billing records are kept for the engagement and afterwards for as long as tax and other laws require. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short period. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry and project information is limited to the people who need it to respond or deliver. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:
- confirm what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- delete data we no longer need;
- withdraw consent you previously gave;
- raise a grievance about how your data is handled.
Email contact@solowebtechnologies.in with the subject "Data request". We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and professionals. The Site is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site or our services change. The revised version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated where we have your contact details.
